For container lids without holes, gas will pass through PE aluminum foil venting gasket reaches the area above the venting membrane and is then guided to the threaded position of the container lid to escape, while preventing liquids and particles from entering the packaging.  PE venting gaskets prevent pressure buildup by continuously balancing the pressure difference between the inside of the container and the external environment.
